Hey Jacob,
Here's some of the backstory about the partnership with Premier Spike and Rumble Roundnet. I'm also going to CC Austin just so he can correct anything if needed.
Exciting News in Roundnet Equipment
Interview with Taylor Sanford, the president and co-foundner of Premier Spike.
As some of you may already know, our dear readers, Premier Spike has taken roundnet world by storm, winning hearts of roundnet players all around the world, especially in North America and Europe. However, Taylor Sanford, the president and co-foundner of Premier Spike, has his eye set on the Asian market as well.
Enter Taylor:
How did the Premier Spike - Rumble Roundnet partnership start?
Around mid-Summer, shortly after Premier Spike sets started getting shipped out, Austin Rohlfing, CEO of Rumble Roundnet, reached out and asked if we could hop on a phone call. I wasn't sure what it would lead to but I'm always open to seeing what opportunities people want to present. We both shared why we started each of our brands, which both came from shortcomings we had experienced in support from Spikeball Inc, and the Spikeball equipment itself. Even on opposite sides of the globe, we both noticed similar patterns and it felt like a perfect partnership.
What is Rumble Roundnet?
Rumble Roundnet had created roundnet equipment as a necessity because it was tough to get Spikeball equipment to Asia,
but he wanted to focus more on other aspects of growing the sport such as running events, technological advances (Austin is a software developer), and loved the idea of partnering with Premier Spike to bring that higher level of quality equipment to the Asian market.
What are the goals of Premier Spike?
For Premier Spike, our goal has been to make our equipment as accessible as possible to everyone around the world (something I didn't realize that Spikeball had even been fallen short on until Austin mentioned it). We had spent a lot of extra money to ensure that we had distribution channels in Europe and Canada, and we had left about 150 sets in Hong Kong and the Philippines to a couple of roundnet organizations who wanted to help sell them for us over there. Rumble Roundnet has already created a great distribution network similar to what we were doing, but much more efficient, and in many more Asian countries. Rumble Roundnet wanted to use our upgraded equipment in their tournament series, and help us distribute, so hence why it felt like a perfect match.
Both companies' goals are aligned to continue to innovate the sport in 2024 and beyond. Having Rumble Roundnet focus on the Asian / Oceanic market allows Premier Spike to focus more on the North America / European markets, while keeping costs lower for Asian customers to acquire Premier Spike sets.
Thanks for your interest in spreading the word about this, we're both super excited about this partnership!
Not only did Premier Spike sponsor a handful of elite roundnet teams, including the best European team, E/S, consisting of Lukas Eisentraeger and Paul Siemer from Germany
