If you were at the Farewell Dinner last year, you remember what I said: 'This is the last FRESH.' I truly meant it. The old fields were bad, the hotel was booked out for next year, and I was exhausted.
But then, at dinner, Fabi challenged me to a game of 'What are the odds?' that I would organize it again. 3-2-1.... "2!" "2!"...
I lost.
So, here we are. But if I was going to do this again, I wasn't going to do it the same way. I needed to solve the problems that almost made me quit:
The Safety: The old grass fields were charming, but dangerous. We had bad bounces and injury risks. This year, we secured Pristine New Turf. No bad bounces. No twisted ankles. Just pure Roundnet.
The Capacity: The old hotel literally didn't have room for us. That was an unplanned complication and I had to go on a search. It turned out, finding space for 60+ people for a week and 100 over the weekend at the same time is not easy...
After visiting and negotiating with multiple hotels, I found a solution - below.

At first FRESH in ´22, we stayed in multiple villas, 25-40 minutes away from the fields. We always saw the hotel (in the background) and joked: "Maybe, one day, we could stay there" (now we do!)

Will there be coaching at FRESH?
Yes, Week 1 is a training camp with world class coaches who are eager to elevate your game! They will be unveiled with time. Past coaches: Vinny Matheu, Nelson Dziruni, Janek Stachiewicz, Jakub Popluhar, Fred Hinkle and more :).
How do you choose participants after filling in the application?
Criteria include:
1. Diversity: nationality (more countries = better), clubs.
2. Personal motivation (from your form).
3. Time of registration (on Fwango).
4. Gender: Women are prioritized (goal 50%).
5. Group registrations (2+ people).
6. Past FRESH or Mallorca Open graduates.
Do I have to pay the entire amount at the registration?
No, you need to wait first if you were accepted by us, based on the criteria above. Once you are accepted, you can transfer the first installment or the whole amount.
Why is the FRESH capacity so small?

Do I need to be a “Pro” player to participate in Week 2 - Relax&Recharge (Party-Safari)?
No. It is true that FRESH started as a meet-up of the best of the best in Europe in ’22, however, it is not a necessity to be “Pro” qualified as long as you are a cool, open-minded person. The European Roundnet community is very welcoming and we cannot wait to meet new faces.
I didn't get a place at FRESH but I still want to come and participate. Can I book my own flights, and accommodation and take part?
A short answer - no. Whereas we cannot tell you what to do and not to do, for organizational reasons we’ll work with FRESH participants only. If you won't make it, we can put you on a waiting list in case someone can't take part.
I want to play at the tournament at the end of training week but I don’t have a partner yet. What can I do?
You are probably not alone. Therefore, we created a public free agent list as well as “FRESH” free agent list. If you and your new partner are both participants of FRESH within a deadline (7th January 25), you will have a spot in the tournament.
Every FRESH participant will have a reserved place at the tournament and it is possible to meet your partner during the week until 7th January 25. We’ll have a free agent list and other resources to make sure you will find a great partner :) (Discord, Instagram, our WhatsApp group).

Do I have a guaranteed spot at the 4. Mallorca Open 2025 tournament if I participate in FRESH?
Yes. All confirmed FRESH ’25 participants registered by 18th January 2025 have a guaranteed spot at the 4. Mallorca Open 2025 on both days (open/mixed/3v3), given both participants are participants of FRESH. Confirmed - already enrolled in the main event after initial payment.
I have just started playing roundnet. Is this holiday just for "pro" players?
We encourage players of all levels to participate. FRESH is not focused solely on performance but more on creating social connection via the sport of roundnet and common activities.
I’m staying for Week 1—can I extend my stay to Week 2?
Yes and no. You can book extra hotel nights through the application form, for example, to stay until Tuesday. However, you may need to change rooms. As for field access, Week 2 participants will have priority. Send us an email, and we’ll do our best to find a solution together!
Do I need to be an active roundnet player to participate?
Absolutely NOT! Anyone can join our "FRESH." However, most people will have some affiliation with the sport of roundnet - former/active player, partner of a player etc. As a non-player, you will even get a discount, write as an email after registration to discuss it.
Will you increase the capacity?
After we sell the current spots (last year it took 2 hours), we will explore more options and ideas of increasing the capacity.
Can I take part in both weeks as well as the tournament?
Yes! Just make sure to register for the tournament separately.
Who are the coaches at FRESH?
We will unveil it when the time is right:). It is going to be a great mixture of roundnet enthusiasts and experienced coaches who will deliver.
Are you guys making money?
Hopefully, yes (at least a little). Our goal is to reimburse our costs and potentially compensate people who spent a significant amount of time working on the event, giving you all they’ve got to ensure you may have the best time of your (roundnet)life. Our ultimate goal is to create jobs within the sport of roundnet, so we could pay people for their efforts.
Why are some people already pre-registered before the start of the official registration period?
1. our newsletter subscribers received a chance to sign up earlier as a benefit.
2. People who are helping running and organizing FRESH.
I am not a European, can I still participate?
Absolutely! We wish to expand globally to improve the overall level of play worldwide and make our coaching more accessible. If you plan to stay in Europe longer, hit us up and we will point you out to the right communities and places.
